Self-introduction(second time)
My name is Catherine Lee, a eighteen years old student who majors in medicine. In fact, I don’t like to do self-introduction, because it always make me feel naked and embarrassing, especially using a language which I’m not familiar with. But I think we can start from introducing my favorite subject first.
Biology, as my favorite subject, always surprised me not only on studying but also in whole my life. I love biology because its diversity, always has something break the rules. Just like every teenager in my age I want to be something different or be a somebody, and what the biology taught me is that every person is different and can have their own sky to be the truly themselves. And it’s a subject which can lead us to know this world deeper and truly. In the movie” Jurassic Park” the doctor had said an impressed word,” Life can find its way.” In the academic view, it’s true that lots of creature can live in the extremely bad situation. But this word also can give us courage and hope, tell us that we can decide our life by ourselves. When I was upset or felt bad I always use this word to inspire myself, if I try harder I can overcome the problem.
Except learning biology as one of my hobbits, I still like to reading novel. At first I can only read those books writing in Chinese or be translated into Chinese. Since I went to high school our teacher ask we to read English novel, though at the beginning we need to spend a lots of time to look up dictionary in order to realize the meaning of new words. But after I can read novel in English a little bit faster, I feel it is much more easy to understand what the writer what to tell us, and can realize the humor those can’t be absolutely translate in to Chinese. Reading novel is not only can spent my leisure time but give me more imagination.
I think at lots of part I just like anyone in this age, I like to listen to popular song, chat with my friends, go shopping and enjoy a free afternoon. Biology and reading novel is the most special way which leads me to feel this world, imagine my own dream, and of cause to spent the leisure time in my life.
